upgrade from ubuntu 13.04 to 13.10. I get error message (Error while
copying "/") with details (Error opening file "/": is a directory).
Keep aligned is turned off. This only happens when trying to reposit

Just the old "drag and drop" routine. Position pointer over desktop
icon, left click and hold down then move to another position on the
desktop.

I'm the only user so cannot comment on the "Guest Session" question as
none are set up. Some "shortcuts" do not exhibit this problem. The
"Home" icon, for example, can be moved around freely. From the error
message I described it appears the operation is trying to copy root (/).

Don't know if this matters but the file type of the "offenders" is HTML
document (text/html). The "non offenders" have different and varied file
types.
