Same here. Ubuntu 11.10 beta, and running Firefox 7. I actually don't
have the search bar at all, but after the last update, on right click I
get "search Ask for..." instead of Google, even though in about:config
I have Google as my search engine.

documents, writer, firefox, and other programs open all at once. And
while writing my programs I need to switch a lot between documents to
have a quick look.

I too am having the onboard keyboard launch at every login after
updating 11.10 (amd64). And I looked in the startup applications and a
few other places, but I can't seem to disable it.

Under: System Settings -> Screen
Set the turn off option for the screen to "never".
Return to all settings or close dialog.
Open the screen setting again, turn off option reverts to "1 minute"!
In addition, once I do try and set it to "never", the screen starts blacking

Setting Turn off screen to never reverts to 1
I have to agree with the above comment. Just updated, while the screen now
saves the "Never" setting, it still dims instantly.
The bug needs further checking.

I've just downloaded the 64-bit version with codecs today and have tried twice,
with slightly different install options to install it. It keeps crashing on the
same spot.

and other executable files was trying to install under wine. I could install it
