Same issue, taps are registered but the min_max.cur_x (large negative value)

OK, some progress! When I did a package update it got the thjaeger3
version, then I only restarted X (gdm). Now the taps were also going to
the right locations and the cursor following the pen movements! Except
the calibration was off a little. So I tried running the calibrate tool
and it would imm

OK calibrate works with the cursor in current directory, but only the X
axis (horizontal) portion is correct. The Y axis shows max as 6998 but

think the min Y is also off... as a result tapping the pen anywhere on
the screen and
Ok, I edited /etc/evtouch/config and changed the MaxY from 6998 to 3939
and restarted X/GDM but no luck - probably something to do with the
d(x/y) numbers. But I rebooted and reran the calibration and this time
it also detected the MaxY and apparently as a result also set the dy
values much better.
Updated Ibex today and the issue no longer exists for me. I also don't
need to specify the nolapic option at boot time either.

I got no clue. Re-installed Jaunty Alpha 5 afresh then installed
bootchart and still see the same problem... nevermind, this isn't a

network manager after some online searches and especially after trying
Fedora 11 (KDE) beta and noticing the icon looked funny. I had to also

OK I think I know what's happening and I've fixed my issue!
I should have figured this out sooner but the problem is/was NCQ not
SMART.
I did a web search for "failed command READ FPDMA QUEUED" and saw some
references to NCQ, SSDs and all that jazz.

Update from my side after installing Kubuntu Lucid Alpha 2:
It does not seem to be related to bug #445852 or SMART because I tried
the workaround above to no effect and I also simply disabled SMART in
the BIOS to no effect. I still get the ata errors in dmesg as before.

Just wanted to post a comment here so others searching online might find
this workaround.
I have an HP Pavilion 14 dv0054tu laptop with an Intel Core i5 1135G7
Tiger Lake CPU and am facing this issue of the slow keyboard delay, not
responding for a few seconds after booting.

Note I've had problems with my 128gb model on an Intel mobo, so I need
to, to this day, specify the "libata.force=noncq" kernel boot option for
things to apparently become smooth :-)

Just a note that I just now also tried the official/stock Jammy 22.04.4
and Noble 24.04 ISOs in live sessions and observed the same thing -
which is the amdgpu module is present in the Jammy kernel image but not
in Noble.
I did a:
