I noticed that dragging a photo from shotwell to pitivi does not work.
It does not work for a video either.
When using F-spot, dragging a photo works.
Since Shotwell and Pitivi are the default programs for what they do in 11.04, I
think this is a bug from a user point of view

after installing PAE kernel NVIDIA driver does not work - no GUI
This bus is still present in 11.04.
I did an update from 10.10 to 11.04 with a working binary nvidia driver.
I removed the pae kernel, because of the non-working driver.
After the upgrade, the pae kernel was installed, leaving me with no gui on boot.
I had to boot another kernel and remove the pae
Well, I am on 11.04 now, so impossible for me.
Maybe this bug can be abandoned?

I might have a problem related to this issue.
I have a mulittouch screen, which has no trouble in X when the Multitouch X and
Y coordinates are not enabled in the driver: a touch gives an instant move of
the cursor to that place.
When only X or Y is enabled all still goes well, but when X and Y a

Nano is not a gui desktop editor. Besides that vim is superior to nano in
my opinion. A viable alternative would be an open source editor like Atom,
but it can be useful to have a lightweight simple editor that doesn't blow
up with a big file and is installed by default.

hi, this machine has not been much customised. I only switched display manager
because the supplied one did not work. I cannot reinstall and lose data.
Display link does not work on at least 2 of my systems with kernel 5.13 and
they reopened a bug because I reported it - those drivers are always
from the newly installed system with 20.04, warnings came for
/var/lib/gdm3.config and .local not being empty.

I tracked down the cause, it has to do with sssd and how gdm3 handles it.

First I removed kerberos auth, which did not seem to have had an effect.
Then I saw that fprintd was showing errors and fprintd-list was throwing the
same e
confirmed that after reinstalling fprintd, the issue returns.
First of all, it creates a delay until the login screen loads.
then when the login screen loads, no user is visible to be clicked, also not
after the 25000 ms timeout of the fprintd daemon.
So it seems the cause of the issue is the log
this is an issue in 22.04 dev.

I think the most obvious is to have the fprintd bug tracked in the appropriate
bug, and have this one track login not working.
I looked at the link and do not understand what you need.
There are some files in /var/crash that end in uploaded, I presume they are

I found the issue, I had this installed from the Dell repo for 20.04 LTS:
libfprint-2-tod1-goodix
more specifically:
libfprint-2-tod1-goodix_0.0.6-0ubuntu1_somerville1_amd64.deb
This worked great with 20.04 and the fprintd version in there, but apparently
it breaks the current version.
