My Samsung ML 2010 doesn't work after upgrading to Gutsy from Feisty.
It isn't detected by any cups frontends. (kde system settings,
gnome-cups-manager).
It was working fine with Feisty.

I cannot add the printer from the web interface. It is the same problem:
USB is not an option as connection.

Solved.
It is a problem with the new kernel in gutsy.
You can fix it by installing the sysfsutils package and adding the line:
module/usbcore/parameters/autosuspend = -1
to /etc/sysfs.conf

I removed the two files
~/.local/share/akonadi/db_data/ib_logfile0
and ~/.local/share/akonadi/db_data/ib_logfile1
Now Akonadi starts. And it seems no mails are lost
