Because apt-cache search doesn't return it. THe latest image
available on Hardy seems to be .24...

However, I figured out what had caused the issue.
When i add 'vga=791' to the kernel boot options, this happens.
If I remove this part, it works well. I think the virtual console
is not able to handle the resolution.

The 'fix' described there works. But then, it seems to be like an on/off switch.
Either you get output through at full volume or you don't anything at all :-(.

a couple of days back triggered this issue. Unless there's a change in the
state of the battery (either plug in AC power/remove AC), there's no change
in the battery state that is displayed in the batter applet

the Hardy kernel on my system without installing Hardy itself?
