Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gsynaptics
On my Dell D630 with an Alps touchpad, my custom gsynaptics settings are
lost after resuming from a sleep state. I would expect that the
settings are persistent until I change them again, after all resumes and
reboots.

I've been using the -f switch successfully, but it seems that the
problem is back with 9.04. I notice that my buttons aren't working
correctly, and then looking at process list, I see Xorg taking up ~75%
cpu with imwheel coming right behind at 25% or so.

This doesn't have anything to do with OpenGL, I don't think. On a brand

blank screen saver. It doesn't happen everytime. All I see is the

Tom: No, I'm fairly certain you're experiencing a different issue. I
only experienced it when coming out of sleep mode, not just after
several hours of use. The mouse moves, but nothing else works.
Bryce: FWIW, I used the new driver and haven't yet been able to
reproduce the problem.

I found that the problem is gsynaptics-init needs to be run upon resume.
You can do this manually in the CLI, but probably a better way is to add
this to the acpi resume scripts upon installation of gsynaptics (or
maybe make gsynaptics installed be default and already include this
script?).

I'm pretty sure all of these issues are resolved with FF3, which in its
