I have a Logitech "Quickcam for Notebooks" (USB device ID 046d:0870). This uses
the quickcam driver. It works perfectly well in Dapper but causes a nasty crash
when trying to use it in Edgy.
I should add that I'm using AMD64 -- I haven't

Well, I guess this is a lesson: don't initialise things in __init__.py!
I can't actually recreate this myself (help> modules has a problem with
something else before it reaches OggConvert on my system), but I think I
know what's going wrong and I'll fix it in the next version.

I'm also seeing this, also running Hardy on x86_64. The package was
updated yesterday, and since then segfaults on startup.

Ooops, apologies for the duplicate post above.
I've found a way to recreate this bug relatively consistantly.
Create a new user and log into Gnome with it. In Nautilus, open the
~/Examples folder and copy all the contents to the CD/DVD creator. Click
"write CD", then select "file image". Save th

I just wanted to add that I found out (eventually!) that deleting the

Apologies, I followed the link from the Ubuntu Forums thread that
pointed to this bug.

Whilst this was annoying, it wasn't a problem until recently,
I am also suffering from this bug. My wireless card worked well in Edgy (well,

As reported in Bug #78843, ACX111 wireless cards are currently detected as
having "no wireless extensions" in Feisty, leaving them rather useless .
