Unfortunately, nothing has changed, but the alsa driver version from
ppa:ubuntu-audio-dev/ppa
is 1.0.23, which is not newer then the version before installing. Is that
right? Please inform me, if i can help.

Hi Daniel,
have tried it with a line:
options snd-hda-intel model=hp-dv7-4000
in "/etc/modprobe.de/alsa-base.conf" and the same for "model=hp" with
reboots in between. In both configurations, the microphone didnt work.
What else can i do?
