Apparently someone (maybe me, I don't remember) fixed this some time
ago, it's just that gutsy doesn't have up-to-date translation packages,
so we need to wait for the next update. You could have checked and found

For these purposes the obex backend of nautilus and gnome-obex-server

i'm experiencing a similar problem. when changing brightness using keyboard
shortcuts, it goes bright/dim/bright/dim, though it does eventually reach
higher/lower brightness. it also goes back up some time after being lowered
after some time and after restarting monitor. it also stopped working

It's very annoying that the bug with file receiving over obex protocol
on bluetooth doesn't work in Gutsy. Why haven't you backport
kdebluetooth from hardy to gutsy? It's over two months from this bug
report. If you don't want to backport the hardy version you can just
apply a fix from hardy to gut

I can confirm this for Polish locale. The package is fully translated

Let me clarify this. The --dest option was there before, it's in Gutsy
and earlier versions of Ubuntu. It needs to be re-added, therefore it
doesn't need a feature freeze exception.

Hi a while ago I tried the Ubuntu and Kubuntu 7.10 live CD on my new
Dell XPS 1530 laptop. I have read where other users have successfully
installed it on this model. I think my install differs on that I have
the base 1200x800 wide screen 15.4" display. The regular display on

K think this is critical to the point it may stop the install of 8.04
on a XPS with the 1280x800 res, not tested on the other monitor
settings. 10.07-64 nv tested not to work with this video card. I have no
way as of yet to test this with the 8.04 till I can manually set up a
config vid setting th

windows, after uninstalling acer's power management tool (bloatware) the
brightness controls stop working altogether.

one more thing i've found out - if brightness controls do work at all,
the dim/bright bug doesn't occur during system loading and in the logon
screen before logging in, only after logging in. it's in the logon
screen if i 'switch user', but not when i log out.

It seems that in Feisty the acx100 driver is able to co-operate with
network-manager without any issues. My acx100 based D-Link DWL-650+ card
works without problems. I had to install linux-restricted-modules-
generic to pull the acx firmware. This bug is fixed now. At least for
me. Any other succes

acpi4asus module (asus_acpi) used is outdated, however even the newest
one (0.40) does not seem to list support for F3F series. The patch I'm
about to attach adds support

(all fixes are available upstream as well).

There is a file included with upstream boost distribution called
"date_time_zonespec.csv" (it's in /boost_1_33_1/libs/date_time/data/).
Unfortunately it is not a part of any boost package in Ubuntu. I suppose
