Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: dash
The current .diff.gz for Dash contains a number of files ending in ~
i.e. backups of the originals, and they really should be deleted before
the .diff.gz gets built.
Specifically:
dash-0.5.4/src/options.h~
dash-0.5.4/src/options.c~
dash-0.5.4/src/ma
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: rtorrent
Rtorrent 0.7.7 is available upstream, and this and all versions >=0.7.5
have xmlrpc support (see
http://libtorrent.rakshasa.no/wiki/RTorrentXMLRPCGuide), which would be
really nice to add to the ubuntu package.

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: wget
Current released versions of wget ignore HTTP Content-Disposition
headers, which would give nicer filenames for output. See also

Binary package hint: gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg
There are debug symbols packages available for various of the other

One option is to allow the user to do this automagically. If they've got
system-config-samba installed, then the attached script (run as root)
will do that. With some PolicyKit magic to do authentication and a

Release: 8.04
Version: 3.12.3.1-0ubuntu0.8.04.2
NSS_VersionCheck doesn't seem to work properly. Calling it with "3.12.3"
should return true, but doesn't. I've attached a test program
demonstrating this. This was found in relation to

libnspr4-0d was at version 4.7.1+1.9-0ubuntu0.8.04.5. Upgrading this to
4.7.5-0ubuntu0.8.04.1 fixed the issue. One thing to do here might be to
run PR_VersionCheck as well when NSS_VersionCheck fails, and print out
some sort of "check your nspr version is up to date" if PR_VersionCheck
fails.

Sorry, bit of a slow brain day. I appear to have copied vlc version
numbers, not libpng ones... Working version is 1.2.42-1ubuntu2 (lucid)
and not working is 1.2.42-1ubuntu2.1 (lucid-updates).

Started it trying to open a random MP3 file. Don't even think it's got
album art in it. Might be x64-specific?

I've just re-upgraded libpng back to the "broken" version and tested
against the previously breaking file, and now all appears fine... yeah,
looks like file corruption. I also saw something similar at one point
while trying to install a new xulrunner-1.9.2 which appears to have
fixed itself as well
