Ah, a month too late. Upgraded the machine to Xubuntu 16.04 a few weeks
ago, and the problem seems to have vanished, and it now natively
recognizes the touchpad. So I guess mark as resolved.

Currently pulseaudio with webrtc is the best choice as echo canceller for
mumble.

Hi,
i was able to solve our problem. The neutron-plugin-vpn-agent inherits
from the l3-agent !? Maybe this service also cosumes messages from the
l3-agent-queues.

Yesterday I updated the BIOS to 2013-07-05 (latest version) but it did
not help.

Ok. I can reproduce the problem. If i enforce the profile and restart
the machine. The snapshot fails. The profile seems to be ok:

I still experience this bug on transitions to FLAC from either mp3 or ogg.
The transition from mp3 to ogg doesn't give me any problems anymore.
This was fixed since this commit arrived in the audio stack:

In addition, clicking on the 'next' button, always plays the next song; Whether
you go from mp3 to ogg or flac or vice versa, it never displays the beheviour
described in this bug, where it stops playing the next song.

As a workaround, you can disable the overlay scrollbars by entering in a
terminal screen:
set com.canonical.desktop.interface scrollbar-mode normal
to get the old behaviour back:

Have a Vaio VGN SZ1VP here with the SigmaTel CXD9872RD/K codec chip.
No sound at all on Natty.
I've tried every options for the snd-hda-intel module.
