an Exchange 2003 Server for E-Mail and Calendar functionalities. Only a
few percentage of us make use of ubuntu. And from the ubuntu usersd only

well with Exchange Calendar now. All times are correct... I have no

I have a Trust SC-5500p USB Sound Card and the same Problem (14.04
64bit).
I even had to set default-sample-channels = 6 in /etc/pulse/daemon.conf
in order to get the rear speakers and Subwoofer working (with 12.04 this
worked out of the box), but that is another probem.

patch. Tapping worked before and only the tabs in Mouse are shown now

confirming this on E5410,too.
I tried the gentoo patch. It works so far, as the touchpad is now
recognized like this:

off when crashing.
Instead backlight is still on and the mouse cursor is shown, but: It is still a
total systemfreeze and you have to turn the power off and reboot, like with the
other kernels.

This is occuring in 10.04 (install and live) and 9.10 (install and
live).
So I tried the live CD of the 10.10 beta release and attached an
external monitor to my Dell E5410. It was working like a charm after
running xrandr --auto. Both
forget to mention: An external Monitor have to be attached to the laptop
to make the bug occure. If Monitor is attached while booting, the boot
script will hang on that part, where xrandr --auto is called.
