I think i had the same issue. Wireless works great for about 2 minutes then quickly dies (NM reports that the connection speed drops from 54Mbps to 1Mbps over the space of a minute or so. Then it loses it completely. I tried the backports route and it didn't seem to have any effect, so swapped NM
