After a restart, it works again - but I was having this problem several times

I'm having the same problem, but I can't disable mail indexing. Whenever
I disable it, the tracker tells me that it must restart indexing. Then I
clicked on "yes", but when I re-open the preferences, the option is re-
enabled.
Is this part of this bug or is this another one?

Like I said, it's important to do this right after the start of gcalc.
When I press "cos" right after the start, the display says "cos(0)", all
succeeding operations, e.g. like those you proposed, before "=" will cause an
error. See attachment.
If I do the same after some calculations, gcalc beh
I think the problem is that after the start, gcalc internally stores "0" as
last computed result.
If you compute something, press "=", then you get the result. If you press
"cos" right after that, cosinus will use the value just computed in the last
computation.

Hi Bryce,
just before sending the above report, screen saver "Hyperspace" was
active, having far less than 1 fps. After moving the mouse and pushing a
key on the keyboard, it took ~ 30 seconds to actually exit the screen
saver. Right after that, I issued the command You told me.
