Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: pidgin
This happens completely randomly, apart from the fact it only happens
during conversations. I use pidgin 2.6.2-1ubuntu7.2 and have Ubuntu
9.10. This happened several times before, but I decided to run pidgin in
the terminal in debug mode. I copied

I am having the same issues. I had no problems with my sound on my HP
15-ay041wm in 18.04, however now that I have upgraded to 18.10 I have no
sound whatever. Additionally,
sudo alsa force-reload
does nothing for me.

I think it has something to do with the fact that when lxpanel restarts,
it's not run with the '--profile Lubuntu' option, which presumably
describes what's in the menu.

Sorry for double posting/commenting, not sure how to edit the comment

I too, have just encountered this problem. I ran [code]

Actually, I managed to fix it by deleting (not just unchecking in the
plugin list) many plugins I wasn't using (I had downloaded the plugins
package for gedit). Sorry, I didn't record which plugins I had
activated, although I only fixed the problem, as I've said above, by
deleting the plugins. Hope
I have an example document, which I can open with Adobe Reader X but not
in Evince. As said in the bug description, it has no password for
reading the document, but security for editing it, yet evince asks for a
password to open it. When trying to open, I get this error

I recently needed to reinstall the OS on my Acer one D257-13473 netbook.
I reinstalled Ubuntu 13.04 and upon doing so, I found that the touchpad
does not work at all. Previously, in 13,.04 (after upgrading from 12.10)
the touchpad did not work, and I cannot remember how I was able to get
it fixed.

I am running linux mint 11 and also have this problem. I'm fairly certain the
problem is that the opacify settings aren't applied ot new windows. If you turn
opacify on and off, it works, but when you open a new window, opacify only
works for the previously opened windows, not the new one.

gnome, I get the following:
