I confirm this bug and I think it's upstream. I don't use ubuntu, but
it's the same in my distro (archlinux) and I've seen this bug on other
trackers as well. People even think it might have something to do with
the kernel... This only happens with one of 4 vpn servers I'm connecting
to, so I guess

I'm using Compiz-Fusion btw, but it doesn't matter. If I use metacity
instead, it still won't start.

I don't know if you are aware, but the same problem is present in the
terminal. There is no autocompletition for commands, e.g.
"sudo ge{tab}" will give me "sudo gedit"
but
"gksudo ge{tab}" will just do a system beep.
And this is seriously annoying, especially as people have been called
only to u

1) Transferring a WAV file over the network goes faster than real time (in
terms of the audio contained within). Why should the network struggle with
uncompressed RTP audio, then?

vertical mouse pointer speed is about double of the horizontal speed.
It's unusable this way.
