When my screen is locked and I'm clickin "change user", system doesn't switch
to other user account - there is only a black screen for a few moments and
system commes back to the locked screen. When I unlock the screen i se an
window with info:
You can't open a new screen.
I use lightdm but I upgraded to oneiric in July so gdm packages are
still installed. Actually after update lightdm package I can't switch
user at all. When i use switchin user applet and the login screen opens
I write a password and this is over. Nothing happens - I cant login
enywhere cos there is
still the same problem..

I have uninstalled gdm and reinstalled lightdm and it didn't change
anything.
Right now I've decided to come back to gdm. it works. Not as smooth as in
previuos version.. but works at all.
With gdm when I use switching user applet - system first shows the locked
screen then I have to click on Sw
Well I used gnome and now unity so I've no kdm installed. GDM works but

Sorry, to clarify the kernel version - it seems to be only broken with
the default 2.6.38-8-generic-pae but works fine when booted with kernel
2.6.38-8-generic. The laptop has less than 4GB so there's no need for

Maybe i should add new bug report but rdesktop locks my machine with
Interpid as desribed but ... only when compiz is on!
When i change hostname on connection screen after pressing enter to
connect appears window with hostname sugestion. When this sugestion is
on screen the whole X locks up and th

acer_acpi and hadrware keys configured in gnome. Now with 8.10 i can't
enable bluetooth becouse acer_acpi is not present, in acer_wmi platform
dir i can't find where to echo to turn on blue. Acer_wmi is no
of course it worked ok in 8.04, now in 8.10 echoich wireless or blue is
not possible.

All i can say is that i put in the drive dvd-video with aspect ratio 4:3
and the video was shrinked - the aspect was wrong (the horizontal
resolution was scaled down). There are no specific actions to reproduce
error, simply ubuntu 8.04 with totem and no way to change aspect to
correct, any preset

have tried changing the configuration options, and nothing helped.

2. put Jabra BT2050 on pairing mode.
3. click on "Jabra BT2050..." in Bluetooth setting on device
4. prompted with new page, click on "Connect" button.

it even takes up to 2-3 secs before anything appears on the screen. This
time wary but its hard to tell then its shorter and when is longer.

Hi David! Sure, I've just tested your change and of course it works,
too.
Patching patch_conexant.c is not needed anymore in this scenario, as
inv_dmix flag is already set by a quirk pointed out by Raymond.

in polish that software is up-to-date is cut off.
I've attached images to visualize the problem.
