I have a Sony VAIO VGN CR36 with ATi Radeon mobility x2300. The bootsplash
isn't getting shown while hardy is booting up. All I get is a blank screen. Of
course I do get the good old text messages while booting up, but the usplash
does make a few heads turn. :D

maybe a bit late, but confirmed on my sony vaio vgn cr 26, dmesg throws the
same warning for sonypi. Not able to use the brightness fn keys.
Spicctrl isn't working as expected as well.
Bluetooth is getting detected but the other devices doesnt see my lappy. My
laptop doesnt have a switch for this

I have the same bug in my Sony Vaio laptop which has a X2100 chipset.
Unfortunately I do not have the laptop at the moment, so will try the
boot options once I get home.
