I got this bug and was directed here. For the record, I think it
occured for me because I had created the database from a complete
mysqldump of all databases - *including the mysql database* - from
another machine.
So the password for debian-sys-maint would have been set for the other
machine rat
I'm having the same trouble as outlined earlier by Craig, with one
difference. I cannot read the file in Windows XP running in VirtualBox.
I haven't tried any of the workarounds listed here yet.

Thanks Frodon for the tip, unfortunately it did work for me. I switched
on the sansa clip before plugging it in to the port but still no icon
appeared on the desktop and dmesg gives the following output.

You beauty!
That worked a treat for me.
On the sansa clip go to Settings > USB Mode > MSC Mode
Press the middle button to accept
Plug it in to your linux box and be patient, it took longer to come up
than I expected.
Thanks dRamseyCain, now I can upgrade my main machine to 9.10!

Go to System > Preferences > Appearance > Visual Effects and set to None
This cleared it up for me

Seriously? Dude, this was from 2009. I don't even have those computers any
more, or the disc! Sorry, you can close the bug.
