My 64 bit ubuntu (not kubuntu) with 2 NVidia display cards and 3 screens
worked until the lucid upgrade.
Then the problem described in the report started, the mouse stops
working and X goes to 100% CPU if I move the cursor to the left screen.
If I keep the cursor in the middle or right screens eve
Another thumbs up from here, this editor needs to be in lucid for sure.

I have just started using xenial to prep our own software for the
release. I was shocked that CV 3.0 is not installed. Surely this
should be an exception to the feature freeze as already suggested,
having to keep installing from source would be a huge pain.

Not good state of affairs for the new LTS. 3.0 needs to be part of the
release, I also think an exception should be made.

I don't know if this is the same problem but on my three screen setup
(NVidia and xinerama), moving the cursor from left to right over the
launcher causes the mouse to suddenly hop to the right screen.
The same thing happens when dragging from left to right over the
launcher.
Video attached.

This should be a higher priority. AFAIK you cant use randr to control
three screens if you have two adapters, xinerama is still the only
option ... and this bug!

YES Thank you emlodnaor, your fix also solved the problem on my two
card, three monitor NVidia configuration.
Using the "NVIDIA Server Settings" tool ($sudo apt-get install nvidia-
settings) to arrange the screens so their sequence is 0, 1, 2 did indeed
solve the problem for me. Cursor jumpin
This bug is driving me CRAZY. After over 15 years with Linux the
constant stream of annoying bugs is making me start to consider
windows again. The number of broken things jangles my nerves.

This bug is driving me crazy because the IBM ThinkPad it affects is used
by my kids, they can't understand why closing and opening the lid makes
the cursor permanently disappear. The workarounds are amateurish to
them. I get to listen to "Windows didn't do this" every time it
happens.
