Same here. I was running Ubuntu 6.10, and everything worked fine. Then, after upgrading to 7.10, VMware began to run slow due to excessive hard disk activity. I recorded some statistical data with dstat when starting up a virtual machine and I get about 50% of cpu wait on computer. See http://ti
