after going to the version i have the same problem with the gnome-
setting-demon. If i start the demon manually somtime it works for the
next to reboots and then it crashes again.

same for me with Logitech Quickcam for Notebooks (046d:08ae) after
Upgrade to karmic. Under hardy everything works out of the box. Is there
a work around to fix it?
