The current status on this is: there seem to be two problems:
- cifs mount
- fuse mount (done through gui)
Both seem not to be fixed in the current version. Needing further
debugging. Given that I remove the milestone for the Hardy release for
the time being.

I am running Ubuntu 9.04 AMD64 with the latest patches and in
Administration-Printing-New Printer-Network Printer I do not have any
"Windows printer via SAMBA" option. The printer I am trying to print is
valid and working (several other windows boxes print to it). smbclient
-L also shows correctly
The smbclient binary was already present, as I mentioned in my previous
message (smbclient -L shows the correct info). However, after
some more digging it seems I had samba4 installed that that appeared to
be the problem.
I have downgraded to samba 3 and now everything works ok, I can add a
SAMBA

thank you for the hint. I didn't know there was a kernel in the xorg-
edgers ppa. But after installing it and a reboot, suspend still doesn't
work at all. Nothing happens when I click on Suspend or Hibernate in the
Powermanagement plasmoid.

I am currently looking how this could apply for SRU. I probably sounds overly
cautious but as the patch comment suggest the reversion might have downsides.

night) stopped while doing the 124th repetition of that. Should I do the
same for Intrepid, too or would it be valid to assume for simplicity

As the last version in Karmic is 0.3.1-6, there are no Ubuntu specific
changes. Until the Debian Import Freeze, all packages with no Ubuntu
changes will be automatically sync'd, and there is no reason to file a

I've got a similar issue with my mythbuntu (jaunty) box. At startup the
usplash "freezes" at about 10 % without displaying that it is doing a
fsck. After 20 minutes I switched to console 8 to see what's up. fsck
stood at 63 %. After a while it finished without showing where it went
from 63 % to 100
Sorry but I have to tell that the option UseEvents has no effect on the
issue of freezing tv randomly.
A little summery to easy the next steps:
1.) Disabling the "Use Opengl vsync" option has no effect.
2.) Setting the tv playback profile to cpu-- has no effect.

The Problem appears also in avidemux and evolution and firefox. So I
deactivated tracker and I found the causing package: tracker.

I did the following...
1.) Testing if we have the same situation as in the workaround was discribed.
=> Yes we have.
$ grep 10 /etc/cron.d/mythtv-status /etc/cron.d/update-motd
/etc/cron.d/mythtv-status:*/10 ** * * root[ -x
/etc/init.d/mythtv-status ] && /etc/init.d/mythtv-status r
"Use OpenGL vsync" is enabled in mythtv.
I'm using the recommended propriatery nvidia driver (version 180).
$ lsmod | grep nvidia

$ apt-cache policy nvidia-glx-180
