I can confirm this - Just attempted to install this via Firefox, which
loaded the plugin installer. Firefox will continuously prompt you to
install Flash, but the installer will state that it is already
installed.
When attempting to do so from the command line, the following output is
observed.
Sorry to double post - I also meant to add - perhaps a better title
would be "md5sum mismatch for flashplugin-nonfree" which is much more
descriptive of the problem.

I think a more important issue (not that flash not being installed is
unimportant - i can live without it - i am just saying) - is the fact
that apt reports it as being installed even though the install failed.

This is incorrect - apt-get still states that the package *is* installed. That
was how I figured out what the issue was in order to come to bugs and search to
see how many others were running into the issue -

When will this resync occur? I keep hearing it being thrown around a s

make it happen. The other reason we are proposing this change here is
because linaro supports like 3 boards and Debian supports ~40. We can

This isn't actually a dbus bug, it's a bug in the version of libimobile
device that is in Maverick. This has been broken since November, and
the only "fix released" was in Natty. It would be nice if one of the
kind Ubuntu developers could push 1.1.0 to Maverick so we can mount and
use our iPhones
Thanks for this Martin, I've tested on the EfikaMX smartbook, and it
looks to be working here. (ARM Cortex A-8 running Maverick)

Sorry, as I had already updated the machine, and natty is in development
mode, there just haven't been any updates on my Maverick box that I've
seen in order for me to reproduce this again.

I just ran it on a fresh install, ran apt-get update, and then ran the
script before installing any of the updates.
I get the following:

(0.7.96.1ubuntu11.1) Looks like whatever is in Debian is a few paces
ahead, as it doesn't have that function. I built it with that portion
left off, and running the script from earlier in the bug, I get the
following output.
Looks like that fixed it!
