Same issue on a Toshiba Portege M600 that has an intel video card (GMX
4600, but it does not seem to be the issue at all) on Intrepid with all
updates as of today.

I also got the issue on my edgy installation and now the problem seems
to be fixed but introduced a regression. If I only change the gateway on
my wireless connection (eth1) to 192.168.0.200, it is correctly changed
in my /etc/network/interfaces file, but I've got no more WiFi

There was a rationale that was to avoid an overcrowded popup menu. In
the most frequent case, you have both the performance and powersaving
governors, and thus there is no logic in providing your maximum or
minimum speed in the Fixed Speed submenu.
