Running off the Ubuntu 8.04 Beta livecd and when installed to the local
computer, I try to join the computer to an existing Windows Server 2003
Active Directory using Kerberos, Winbind, and Samba. I discovered
errors, so I tested the same steps ag
I've discovered what's happening here. On the Debian etch development
box that these steps worked, the IP address is set statically, outside
the normal DHCP range. On the Ubuntu 8.04 workstation that I performed
the above, the IP address was set dynamically.

shouldn't have the execute bit work correctly which currently it
doesn't.

I am also having this issue. It started happening for me when I was
using ArchLinux during July of 2016; I was thinking about going back to

I created a minimal repro script to repro the segmentation fault.
Naturally the script does not trigger the segmentation fault. However, I
can't for the life of me figure out why my code causes a seg fault, and
the repro script does not.

not experiencing this bug. I ran it once during a session where I had
suspended. I hard rebooted, ran the script again, and got the freeze. So
in this case, suspend/resume was not directly involved.

While this is not definitive, I ran 10 instances on glx gear on various
desktops, two full screen movies, one in totem and one in mplayer on two
different desktops, and opened about 15 or 20 terminal windows. Matt
Zimmerman's script does not work in metacity, so I manually switched
desktops for 10

icon, are both envelopes. We should consider changing the icon so that
it does not conflict with the existing icon.

I think the FUSA applet wold look more polished and be easier to use if the
following menu items all used recognizable icons:
Log out
Suspend
Hibernate
Restart
Shutdown
