impossible, as it tended to be multiple directories that caused it. First, I
dragged out the non-system hidden files, then the system hidden files. Next, I
restarted and moved back everything except these hidden directories

time is to delete ~/.pulse. Must have been caused by a recent update.

I have update to Lucid, and for some reason it didnt install properly.

I am experiencing this upon upgrading from Karmic to Lucid Beta 2. The
process "polkitd" is sucking up a lot of CPU and accumulates memory
usage over time until it maxes out the memory. This is also affecting
dbus-daemon. And yes, PulseAudio does seem to take up quite a bit of
CPU at times.

Found the problem, but in fixing it I have no idea what fixed it.
Someone suggested to me that the problem was one of the hidden folders
in the Home directory. I went through a few folders that I thought
might have been problems, and in doing so was able to fix it.

My version ubuntu server 18.04. Below worked for me:
1. Creating an empty file(/etc/NetworkManager/conf.d/10-globally-
managed-devices.conf)
2. removing the file(10-globally-managed-devices.conf) from /usr/lib
and finally
3. changing Network renderer to NetworkManager in Yaml file.

connecting again.

I've noticed that occasionally my input devices (kb/mouse) will stop
functioning. My music is still playing, so I don't think that the
desktop is hanging, and I'm able to SSH into the machine. Triggering
the Gnome GPG pinentry apparently caused it to become unstuck.

I can't seem to find a way to enable Wireless on my Toshiba Qosmio F60
from Ubuntu (even 13.04) once it is disabled from within Windows. The
LED buttons to enable Wireless, Mute, Play/Pause, Eco Mode, Touchpad
block/unblock don't work either. It does not even generate any X Event.

They consistently show up as rename3 and rename4.
