Anyone have a reasonable work around for this? It's critical for some
users to lock packages (and still retain some update-manager
functionality). I for instance use a specific version of Wine for Lotus
Notes.

it's now been an issue for over a year. :P The package maintainers need

I'm running Kubuntu Feisty Herd 5 with all updates (the latest was
yesterday, 03-27-2007) and now WINE doesn't works anymore. When I try to
run something (wine program.exe), my X restarts! What's happening?
Before the latest updates, my WINE was running normally.

Probably the string "run-vmblock\x2dfuse.mount" is just a typo of the
string "run-vmblock-fuse.mount" because \x2d is the hexadecimal escape

Comment #5 works also for me with both server and client running Ubuntu
12.04. Without that directive it seems there's some privileges problems
with the nobody user (the default bad-user mapping)
