Uinstalled that Windows driver, did updates today and the wl restricted
driver came through which got my card working again and am connected
with wireless now however is seems the problem is with WAP and WEP. Me
and a couple others had to disable it.

I have to agree that now would be a perfect time to bring in Kernel
2.6.28 and introduce Ext4 to the dev cycle. At least by option. F-10 has
already included it, it has already been 'deemed' stable so i don't see
any point in waiting.

put off for Karmic which has now been dropped. ie. Packagekit, Plymouth,

Running Intrepid Ibex Alpha 6 AMD64 with all updates applied.
Just did the latest updates, restarted as required and got this crash report.
I installed valgrind, worked fine.
Removed any old logs, said no such file or directory.
Tried to start valgrind and got - bash: syntax error near unexpected
Fixed with Alpha 5

Correct that would be Linux.
If i remember correctly now when i installed Hardy i had to download updates
first before i could connect on Wireless. I think i was given a proprietary
driver by the name of lo i think.
Heres the requested info.

As the title says, Ive tried installing Intrepid Ibex Alpha 3 & 4 32bit and
both of them get stuck at (Alpha 3 = [0.120007] ..MP-BIOS bug:8254 timer not
connected to IO-APIC) and (Alpha 4 = [0.504031 ..MP-BIOS bug:8254 timer not
connected to IO-APIC).
Happens after you boo
acpi-off gives the same result, still not able to install.

/proc/acpi/fan is empty and /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/*/trip_points has no
active trip points (those starting with "AC")

Agreed that os-prober should be a dependency.
Also the chainload into grub2 from grub legacy did not work for me.
Tried to scroll down to the Kernel below the chainload option and that
also was broken. Both times received 'Error 11: Unrecognizable device
string'.
After doing a reinstall of Ubuntu
Got this bug too. Firefox also flickers with me.
Happens with Firefox 3.0.5 and 3.1-b2.
Happens with Fullscreen too.

I think its because some of its dependencies are still being held back
in Update manager.
I noticed during the error message it said something about libx11-6
which is still blocked.

Can Grub2 boot XFS filesystems now?
I know a little while ago people were having issues installing Grub2 on XFS
systems.
I'm guessing this will also need to be addressed if there are still issues with
this and another push was made to make Grub2 default for 9.10...

I believe the current version of e2fsprogs within Jaunty is the latest
or at least what is required for Ext4.
Grub2 also working well for me.

I believe we have e2fsprogs v1.41.xx in Jaunty already which should be
fine for Jaunty.
Grub2 is also working well for me at the moment.
So i guess we just need it in Ext4 in the installer now.
