@Alexander:
I'm glad to see that ~network-manager PPA was updated.
At the time I've added dalbers' ppa to my sources.list, ~network-manager PPA
was stuck at svn20080121.
Hope you'll keep it updated in the future. Thanks.

Binary package hint: tracker
I did a search with tracker search tool.
After that I right-click on an item and choose "move to trash".
The file is moved to ~/.Trash, but i've found that my current trash (trash:///
in Nautilus) is located in ~/.local/share/Trash/files

Public bug reported:
After upgrading my Hardy kernel from 2.6.24-15 to 2.6.24-16, my PC hangs
at boot time for about 5-10 minutes.
I get this error at boot time:
iTCO_wdt: failed to reset NO_REBOOT flag, reboot disabled by hardware
I have a Dell E520 desktop PC with Intel MB:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:
Same here on Hardy.
The workaround solved the problem for me.
I agree with PascalCavy that the problem still exists.

You cannot say it is fixed in hardy 'cause NM stays in offline mode even if

network manager ppp doesn't support evdo/gprs/umts data cards
https://bugs.launchpad.net/
Setting up a wired interface with dhcp or static IP is simply a workaround.
The problem is that NM don't see active interfaces like ppp0.
I hope that someone here will listen to my prayers and will mark this bug as
Confirmed -> In progress -> Fix released.

Right clicking on the icon and selecting "eject" correctly opens the cd tray.

Binary package hint: brasero
I think it could be useful to have the ability to check md5sum or sha1sum of an
image before burning it.
Simply ask for a sums file or a string for comparison when burning an image.

@Rodrigo,Gem: Decreasing the number of active effects could increase compiz
performance, but is only a workaround.
I think that the bug is related to nvidia drivers 'cause we all have nvidia
cards. I have to mantion that this never happened on Gutsy or Feisty with the
same machine.

I agree with alef13. You need to write on the ubuntu.com homepage : "If
you don't have an ethernet connection, please don't download Ubuntu
Hardy, go for another distro please!" I'm ironic, but this is the sad
truth...

I've found the same problem on Hardy. So I don't think it is kernel related at
all.
If I disable compiz I get the correct password request dialog. With compiz
enabled I get a white screen.
