It seems that is not found the dri module for 3D acceleration. Can you
install the mesa-utils package:
> sudo apt-get install mesa-utils
And add the output of the following commands:
> glxinfo | grep ^direct

> LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose glxinfo 2>&1 >/dev/null | grep
the application is looking for the dri driver in some paths, but not found it
in any.

I leave empty password but change it with the command "passwd", and can
continue login without the password, after reboot too.
(The /etc/shadow has a hash entry but gdm ingnore it).
