Tomorrow, I boot my PC on 3.13.0.142 kernel.
There was lots of updates for several compiler.
Right after I reboot my PC and go to the -143 kernel. dkms remove
nvidia, dkms install nvidia.
then, modinfo nvidia| grep vermagic now shoes "retpoline".
At this point I know everything was fixed.

there is nothing interesting in the log, upstream agreed that the plugin
was a good option but just didn't want to commit due to the users
attitude on the bug, he suggested that somebody else should do the
commit instead

the setup seems to be quite specific, could you open the bug directly on
bugzilla.gnome.org? the ubuntu desktop team has a lot to do and I doubt
somebody will work on this issue in a distribution specific way soon,
the bug would be better sent on bugzilla by somebody having the issue
who can reply
