I also experience this bug on Intrepid (but it already occurred with
Hardy also) with Lenovo X60 Tablet, which has the following chipset:
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS,
943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:27a2] (rev 03)
I can confirm that this bug exists also with x86 + ext3 /home partition.
In my case it is also present in firefox 3.0.12.
Deleting ~/.mozilla/ didn't change anything.

The qt bug fix is important for those who are running KDE 4.4. Is there
such a qt package available somewhere on ppa repositories?
Here KDE and Qt developers are saying that distributions should provide
the patched Qt if they provide KDE 4.4 packages:
http://old.nabble.com/KDE-4.4-Qt-version-td271
I forgot to mention that I am running karmic and using the KDE 4.4 RC2
frm the Kubuntu beta PPA.

The bug seems to be fixed upstream in 0.4 rc2, so please make that
available on Karmic.
I am also experiencing the high cpu usage by Xorg process with the

Is the fix for libc6-686 available for Karmic somewhere? I am
experiencing the free() bug quite much with kde desktop and the kde
developers told it is due to this glibc problem mentioned here.

I just installed fresh 16.04.1, fully upgraded it but still had to

I have xenial-updates-enabled. There is missing dependency on driver

I don't know why this is marked duplicate of bug #1498146. That one
talks about build error with version 340 of the driver. This bug is
