for this to work with 0.5.2 and kde4.4 some extra symlinks are needed:
Volume:
audio-volume-high.svg symlinked to audio-volume-high-panel.svg.
audio-volume-medium.svg symlinked >> audio-volume-medium-panel.svg
audio-volume-low.svg symlinked >> audio-volume-low-panel.svg
audio-volume-muted.svg sym

Public bug reported:
Frequently pen stops working correctly and it goes crazy in my IBM thinkpad X41
Tablet.
When you put pen near to screen it starts selecting areas and a lot of strange

I am having this bug. Interestingly its affecting only my desktop
computer, but not my laptop. I installed flash from the medibuntu repos,
for both machines.
I do not know if this is relevant, but both computer popped up a kde
dialog window asking me whether it was okay for kde to permanently
forg
...And I think I fixed whatever was wrong. I installed flashplugin-
nonfree-extrasound, as this was previously uninstalled. I restarted
firefox, and sound is back. This is on Karmic Kubuntu, with the flash
being installed from the medibuntu repos (using this guide:

The following workaround worked; just as advertised above (Thanks!) :
I ran these in konsole:
1. cd /usr/share/icons/oxygen/16x16/actions/
2. sudo ln -s document-properties.png gtk-properties.png
3. sudo gtk-update-icon-cache /usr/share/icons/oxygen/
Now inkscape behaves as it should.
