The gnucash fix for this is included in 2.3.0 release which is,
according to gnucash developers, the start of a unstable cycle until
2.4.0 so it might take some time before this gets fixed in ubuntu. A
workaround in the mean time is to compile and use 2.3.0 (and live with
bugs that you might hit).
Loïc Martin : Wouldn't it be better to wait for debian to package it and
merge gnucash from debian? Upstream maintainer said in the debian bug
report that he planned to upload a updated gnucash soon, so there are a
lot of chances that this is done before karmic is released.

branch (shame on me). So I cloned your current git repository, checkout

I built 1.3.0 , 1.6.0 and 1.6.1 xserver-xorg-core on intrepid and I was never
able to reproduce the bug.
I built the same 1.6.0 xserver-xorg-core on jaunty and I was still able to
reproduce the bug.
That seems to demonstrate that xserver-xorg-core is not the faulty
package either. Any other idea

games only depends on guile-1.8-libs which is already installed by
default in ubuntu 8.10 (but does not prevent guile-1.6-libs to be
installed and used by gnucash). I also tried to install guile-1.8 on
jaunty and it did not preve
