I have the same issue with my external NTFS usb drive.
I think giving the /etc/fstab is useless, since no imformation is
written there for usb disks, no?

I found something funny :
when using the wxVTKRenderWindowIntreractor Class available at:
http://wxvtk.sourceforge.net/
the rendering is perfect. So the issue might come from VTK after all
(and most probably the vtkRenderWindowInteractor Class)

It was right after boot.
I did not have the jaunty kernel anymore, so I tried to install 2.6.30
from ubuntu mainline builds, but I screwed up my system (maybe because
of the grub/grub2 changes, I don't know)
I tried to fix it with a live-cd of karmic, and The bug is not
present on this li
I can confirm the same behavior with my sony VAIO NS12M. Stopping and
restarting udev solves the problem, though, as MattSchnitz pointed out.

Same problem here. Actually, there does not seem to be any tab to
activate edge/corners in compizconfig anymore. There was with ubuntu
10.10. Now only super+d triggers "show desktop".
