Yes, it seems the driver isn't enabled. Type
lsmod|grep rt2860sta
to see if the driver is loaded. And, to see if the driver exists in your
configuration, try
modinfo rt2860sta
. If these commands don't output anything or give errors, then there is no such

I found that if upstart re-reads a job config file, e.g. after i rename

to open "Sound Preferences" window every time I log in. It is funny but

The issue is affecting me as well, GTX 1050, ASUS laptop.
None of the resolution tactics proposed so far helped in loading the drivers

former has changed to use GTK3, it might just not be picking all the
correct settings. Namely, tooltips text and window text are different

So apparently this is fixed in GTK greeter. But what about KDE greeter?

device to e.g. /mnt/tmp and try the following command:

The command "grep SIGRTMIN /usr/include/ -r" gives me
/usr/include/asm/signal.h:#define SIGRTMIN 32
and a bunch of other defines with the same value. But if I ask bash's
"kill" builtin via "kill -l", I get "34) SIGRTMIN". What's interesting,
there's actually no number 3
For the record, the illegal instruction which leads to crash appears to
be UD2 for me.

was generated with oxygen-gtk2 1.4.3-xxx (current version gives the same
output).
