THe bug is due to processing of symbolic links in mkid
that can lead to stack overload due to recursive processing
of links and no loops detection.
The same bug for find and locate is marked as security issue.

Hello Christopher,
the problem no longer reproduces after installing non-free nvidia driver, so no
new reports.
I have 2 video cards laptop - nvidia is connected to external display.
After substituting noveau driver by nvidia problem no longer reproduces.
