Since the last 2 kernels, I have problems with my intel centrino wlan

I can reproduce this pretty often now. It seems to likely occur short
after waking up from a longer suspend (on batteries).
Anyway - this did not happen about one week ago, so I would guess the
problem is caused by the kernel update which happened meanwhile.
It looks like the firmware was updated

Ah, I forgot to say that this only happens if the laptop is suspended
for some time, perhaps to let the smb host timeout the connection and
close the handle in the meanwhile.
The totem player was paused before suspending the laptop. After resume,
it played a few seconds (perhaps cache somewhere) a

Thanks for pointing out the workaround with "setxkbmap". This works for

I mixed up the codenames of Ubuntu. I was and I am talking about the
current stable Ubuntu Server edition (codenamed Gutsy). Thats were I can
reproduce the bug. I did NOT test it on any unstable (hardy) release.

Yes, its possible - if you tell me how exactly I can do that. I guess I

I can confirm this bug with current karmic kernel:
2.6.31-17-generic #54-Ubuntu SMP Thu Dec 10 17:01:44 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Steps to reproduce:
Download same file with 2 sources in parallel. I took Opera, and wget.
wget http://ubuntu.intergenia.de/releases/karmic/ubuntu-9.10-desktop-i386.
I will check with Ubuntu 9.10 in the next days, if the issue is still
ongoing.
