That ticket is for people who actually got the gutsy driver to work and
then had it flake out on them. I couldn't even get the gutsy one to
work at all, let alone have it work long enough to be flaky.
Ultimately the user I was helping decided that Linux sucked and went
back to Windows, especially
Hibernate and resume work with the new kernel in Gutsy. (The graphics
card went nuts on resume, but that was not the kernel's fault and was
fixable with an NvAGP option).
Consequently I suggest marking this bug as no longer relevant.

I have this same problem with current Hardy and iwl4965. I can turn the
wireless off successfully with the switch. If I turn it back on then
network manager detects that but never manages to join a network (I
waited 5 minutes). I can get network manager to connect to a wired
network, but it will

I can trivially reproduce this on two different machines. I choose
Hibernate from my Gnome desktop and after a few seconds the screen
switches to text mode. If I do nothing there is just a flashing cursor
for about 15 seconds, then disk activity starts and then the machine
