CORRECTLY WITH THE HPLIP INSTALLED PPD FILE!
THIS HP 1522NF PRINTER NEEDS PostScript Level 2 and NOT PostScript Level
3!!! Trying to print with Postscript Level 3 will cause character
anomolies.

Your criticism is noted.
However, this bug is already solved, or likely solved. HP just hasn't
implemented the fix. And, there's likely no other solution aside from
using capitol letters. ;-)
It would be more helpful if you provided better information.
As such, only seems two solutions, either

Come to think of it, I've also had segfaults with "error 4 in
libc-2.15.so" when using VirtualBox. Could there be a connection?

Looking through syslog, I also came across this line a single second
before the crash:
gdk-warning: gnome-session: fatal io error 11 (resource temporarily
unavailable) on x server :0.#012
So, maybe related to Xorg?

@ Tim's message #3: I tried the mainline kernel 3.3.0 for a while as a
work-around (worked fine), but went back to 3.2.20-20 to test the boot
parameters. So far it seems that both pcie_aspm=force and pcie_aspm=off
work fine. Will chime in again if I manage to reproduce the problems
with either of t
Confirmed. The same thing happens here, thogh on a Sony Vaio VPCF13Z1E
with a Centrino Advanced-N 6200 wireless card using the iwlwifi module.
Worked fine up until the latest kernel update. Sometimes network-manager

I've checked previously installed kernels now. I've got 3.2.0-20.33, and
I used to have 3.2.0-20.32. Come to think of it, wireless may have
worked better earlier on in the Precise series, right after the key
exchange problem was solved (bug 911059). But in any case, it used to
work and now it does
Now, this is a bit embarrassing. But in my case, at least, it seems the
problem was actually a malfunctioning router. Apologies ...
