The OO spreadsheet chart dialog for the scale of the y axis (in an xy plot)
limits setting the min/max to 2 figures of precision which makes it
impossible to zoom in on fine detail.

Reverting from grub2 to grub has also fixed the problem for me on a
thinkpad x200t. Previously with grub2, unplugging after suspending
reliably caused resume to hang. With grub I've run the experiment at
least 10 times with zero occurrence.

After replacing grub2 with grub problem occurrence is greatly diminished
but to my frustration recurred this morning. Thus, problem is indeed
elsewhere.

The problem is intermittent. When resuming the system hangs with the desktop
and mouse pointer displayed,
but the system is unresponsive.

Annotation: This occured during a previous suspend and prevented it from
resuming properly.

Same experience here with fully updated 14.04 on an ASUS UX301L with an
NEC external display connected via display port. All applications tried
are affected.

The "Mouse and Touchpad" in "System Settings" does not enable palm
detection for the touchpad. gpointing-device-settings does offer this
control, however, after reboot the settings are forgotten. gpointing-
device-settings still indicates that palm detection is enabled even

I am experiencing this also after updating 11.10 (amd64) this morning.
Uninstalling onboard means you cannot login via lightdm since it seems
to be used for typing the password.

The onscreen keyboard shows on every login
To manage notifications
Running on a Thinkpad X1 (sandybridge) I was experiencing random crashes
of libreoffice (impress and writer) until I disabled the antialiasing
after which I have not experienced a single crash. To verify this was
the cause I turned antialiasing back on and sure enough the problem
returned.

I routinely see this behavior.
When I start a new unity session, the launcher usually does not auto-
reveal with the mouse for the first few minutes --- I must use the super
key. After a while, it starts mostly working but I have never figured
out what helps.
This is with a fully updated 11.10 am

I agree that this is *not* a duplicate. I too am experiencing occasional
failures that are
segvs rather than thrown exceptions and are not correlated with any activity.

I'm experiencing this bug on my Gateway M-6816 with Ubuntu 14.04 64 bit.
Happened after updates a few weeks ago.
I do not have Windows 7 or 8 or 8.1 installed on this computer, just Ubuntu.
