you toggle WIFI off with Fn+F2. This is not a new bug. Same thing happend with
-rc4.
On next boot, Wifi is off, and you have to toggle it on again, and it works.

With Intel PRO/wireless 3945ABG wifi chipset installed on my EeePC 1000H, Fn+F2
toggle wifi on/off works without problems. With RT2860 installed, screen gets
black, system freeze, and you have to push powerbutton for 6 sec. to shut down.
At next boot you have to toogle wifi on again.

not, but in firestarter the ralink chipset is called device ra0 and the
type is unknown while the Intel chipset is called wlan1 and the type is

If I guess right, your system does not see your wifi card. You can
varify that with lspci in a terminal window.

Have installed your patch. This works for windows with 2 buttons. fx. Take
snapshot application.
But it does not work for windows with 1 button (close). Doubleclik on your own
*.deb file and reinstall the package. You will see a window with one button
(close) not rounded.

When you click on the buttons the rounding disapears and come back.
I am not sure how this should be solved nice. Even on the middle button it
looks wrong when it is only a square around the button that is changed when you

I think it will be fixed with the update of the Rt2x00 driver in the .32
kernel. But the -rc3 i running quite bad on my 1000h so I have not
tested that yet. With Intel 5300 and 3945 ABG wifi cards there is no
problem.

Yes notify-OSD works on audio-volume(up down mute) and on brightness control
(up down).
But connection and disconnection to wireless networks does not generate a OSD
event anymore.
My current kernel is still the same.
It would be nice if multi-display button also generated an event.

On my system it also looks like it never suspend. But if screensaver and
powermanager both is set to 1 minute. It suspends every 100 secs. or so,
but switch on right after again. Can you not observe that?

Tried again today.
Its is still ooo build 3.2.1.4. ubuntu package 1:3.2.1-6ubuntu1
But it works now. Something else must have been updated.
Before it crashed on any operation that created a new file. fx. Save As,
