After upgrading the distro to Karmic Koala, the WLAN works really
poorly. It can take one minute to load Google or any webpage. Also, it
disconnects often, and after hibernate I have to restart the computer to
make it work. I'm using a Lenovo ThinkPad T60. I have no idea about
Software center not working for me, just updated from 12.04 to 12.10.

Same thing for me, but Swedish instead of Italian.
I installed Ubuntu using English as setting. Then another user of the
computer needed Swedish, so I installed that too in gnome-language, but
kept the top two settings ("for my menus..." and "For everyone at
startup...") as English (United kingdom

I retested in Dapper.
When logging out the problem is gone.
If I shut down the screen switches to LCD during the shutdown procedure.
If I switch to CRT again the screen switches back to LCD when booting
again. I guess that the last issue is in order, but shouldn't the
shutdown be on the CRT scree

extra space gets copied. The expected behaviour should be that only the
marked and copied character gets pasted with no extra space.

The problem exist because the folder /var/log/postgresql does not exist.
I cannot find out if it didn't exist with the previous postgresql
version or if it was removed by the install script, but after a apt
upgrade I had to create the directory manually to install the package.

only 128 MB is needed for the desktop install. As xubuntu should be
lightweight it should not require 192 MB to install (and in my opinion
not even 128 MB).

didn't detect my wired ethernet correctly. I went through with the
installation and I could still not connect to the internet. In the
network settings I found that the MAC address was incorrect. It was set
