I cannot enable desktop effects using "Visual effects" dialog.
If I try to enable compiz on the command line I get the following:

Pedro, I'm having difficulty getting a backtrace beacuse I cannot
install the required package. I followed your link and added the repos
to the sources.list. I couldn't find a compiz-dbgsym for compiz but I
did find compiz-core-dbgsym (not sure what other packages I should

I have the same issue here. it overrides my resolution (1280x1024) and uses
the highest available to X (1920x1440). Leaving fullscreen doesn't revert it
back to my original setting. I am using:

"tune in" icon on the page. A dialog asks me to open playlist with
rhythmbox and I select ok. Rythmbox then loads and does nothing. It
