I'm testing Intrepid beta, upgraded from Hardy.
When I press & hold the "down-arrow" key, or the "left-arrow" key, or
the "End" key, the delay (until the key starts to repeat) is longer than

1. Download and boot into latest Intrepid live CD.
2. Applications->Accessories->Terminal.

My two computers works OK in Windows. However, both computers shows the
"open-and-immediately-close CD drive" issue.
I just tried with the latest Intrepid live CD, and the problem is still

And the Intrepid I've installed in one of my computers is affected by
this bug as well, so every time
I've included hal as a possible bug source, because the problem affects
both live & installed systems.
In my installed system, if I do:
$ sudo /etc/init.d/hal stop
and then unmount (manually) the inserted CD, then I press the hardware
eject button on the CD drive and the tray remains opened.

Sorry. I just tried your workaround, but it didn't work for me :(.
Please, try the following:
1. Go to System->Preferences->Keyboard.
2. Go to Layouts tab.
3. Check "Key presses repeat when key is held down" chekbox.
4. Move the Delay rule to the very left (near to "Short" label).
5. Go to Access
So obviously it seems to be a problem in the new X.Org 1.5 keyboard
driver or, maybe, in the evdev handler. I haven't got the necessary
knowledge of the X.Org internals to do a further diagnostic. The bug had
been notified to the upstream developers, and had been confirmed, but
still no improvement

1. Open Rhythmbox.
2. Play a song. The song starts to play.
3. Move the time slider for around the middle of the song.
Expected behavior: Rhythmbox starts to play the song from the point
selected on the slider.

Rhythm
Thanks for your response, Sebastien. However, I'm unable to get Apport
works. When Rhythmbox fails, its window get unresponsive (the window
fades to grey, I'm using Compiz). I can only do one thing: to click on
the Close window button, but when I do that, the window closes and
nothing more happens.

I have a Conceptronic C54RU (v1). When I plug it in my Intrepid machine,
it doesn't work. What's wrong? That device worked OK on Hardy.
This is what I get in /var/log/syslog:

Binary package hint: gfxboot-theme-ubuntu
The "Install Ubuntu Server" boot menu entry (which is in the Ubuntu
Server install CD) shows always in English, no matter which language you
select during boot time. The string can't be translated because there
isn't in the Launchpad
