For me it is just the opposite. It is a Dell Latitude D520 with Intel
sound running Feisty. If I reboot and run Skype, dead mic. Then I run
Ekiga, proceed with 6x "next buttons" set audio as default in both
boxes, press test button and voilĂ ! It works. I cancel the Ekiga wizard,
try an echo123 with

and go to the third tab (options) and change the Input source to Line
(it was Mic), close it and then open again and change back to Mic, and
