I am having exactly the same problem. It only happens on the front USB ports on
my case though. If I put the USB flash drive on the front port it takes
anywhere between 2 and 10 minutes to get recognized.

Hi, I looked more in depth and realized that the borders appeared when
zooming down (CTRL --). I set my browser back to "normal" zoom and the
borders desappeared .
I am sorry for the inconvenience, and very happy to have my firefox back
to a nice looking.

The problem was that I had installed glibc via sources compilation on ubuntu
hardy.
So to fixe I only deleted the folder /emul
sudo rm -Rf /emul

I'm using GPG with Mutt to encrypt my email but GPG seems to output
constantly its messages despite I'm using "--no-verbose --quiet
--batch". So, I need to refresh the Mutt interface in order to revert
what GPG does.

Same problem here. All USB devices just disconnect randomly. Same
messages as above.
For now, I've managed to get the USB devices up with
sudo modprobe ehci_hcd
When the USB goes down I just run that command in the terminal. There is
no difference if you run sudo modprobe ehci_hcd or sudo rmmod
It is there in hardy for me too. Is there a way to include the other
screensavers in the Random pick list?

After some more testing I've come to the conclusion that sudo
modprobe/rmmod ehci_hcd doesn't always work. :( It worked a few times
but it's not consistent.
Another thing I'd like to ask to everyone that has this problem is if
you have the usbkbd module loaded. My USB Wifi has been running for 4
h
I had a similar problem with sudo. I solved it, I hope this helps
developers to fix it quickly.

I changed the default plugin to the OmniJoy and the default device to
/dev/input/ts0 because I don't have a joystic. After I grand permission

I have the same problem in my PHILIPS DVD+-RW SDVD8431. I can't write a normal
CD via Nautilus CD
Burner or Gnome-baker. Only write about 40% of the disk and then stop, whit
error. I have Ubuntu 7.10 - the Gutsy Gibbon because Feisty fawn I had the same
problem... The hard-drive working fine.

This happens with me as well. Motherboard M2n-X plus with amd 64 x2
