Hi Luka,
here is the requested output.
If I'm fast enough, the time before rehibernating is just long enough to
log into kde (which is locked after the resume) and see the message from
the powermanager "lid closed - hibernating" (or similar), but of course
the lid is open at that point...

Hello,
when starting the soundserver in kde3.5.5 on edgy the system hangs for some
seconds (~20), then I get "Sound server fatal error: cpu overload, aborting".
This problem didn't occur with kde3.5.5 on dapper. I tested edgy with
the 2.6.15-27-k7
works like a charm... thank you!

Hi,
on really annoying bug... if you use "apt-get -s autoremove" (and you think you
are on the save side, only "dry-run"ing) apt-get does actually remove
everything it wants to. tough luck :)

Sorry, I was wrong, it's not really removing anything, it just seems to.
I think I was fooled by aptitudes "would have removed" or similar, which
apt-get doesn't say, the output suggest that apt-get really did what it shows.
So it's confusing, but in the end, it's not a real bug.

I have the same problem. Wenn I run "ifup eth0" (which uses interfaces, doesn't

I did some more testing and now I can reproduce the problem. It's a kde-
guidance-powermanager problem and occurs when "hibernate on lid close"
is selected. Then after resuming and logging in to kde, the first thing
powermanager does is to remark that the lid is closed and so triggers
hibernation.
As of sept 30, it's working. So this bug can be closed and marked as
fixed.
